When it comes to pediatric ENT diseases, recurring tonsil infections, enlarged tonsils and adenoids, snoring, sleep apnea, hearing loss due to fluid accumulation in the middle ear, nosebleeds, foreign bodies in the nose or ear, tongue-tie and airway stenosis come to mind.
First, a detailed endoscopic examination is performed. Appropriate treatment is then planned for the existing problem. In cases where medical treatment is inadequate or surgery is the only option, the child is prepared for surgery. While a mild type of anesthesia called sedation is preferred to remove foreign bodies, general anesthesia is used for other procedures such as removal of tonsils.
